Tree of Life

The Mexican Tree of Life is a vibrant clay sculpture from Puebla, blending indigenous and colonial influences. These intricate works feature colorful depictions of flowers, animals, biblical stories, and daily life.

Originally symbolizing fertility and creation, it evolved during colonial times to represent Christian themes, such as Adam and Eve. Over time, its designs expanded to celebrate Mexican culture, life cycles, and traditions like the harvest or Day of the Dead.

Today, the Tree of Life reflects Mexico’s cultural heritage and creativity, symbolizing growth, unity, and the rich diversity of human experiences.
